"Now that we are back and stable we wanted to give everyone a bit more detail on what happened yesterday. One of our core switches failed causing all of our services to go offline. Getting the replacement took awhile longer than anticipated, then getting it into our cage and configured took a bit also.
Thanks to everyone for sticking it out, and we will look at doing something for the community in response to the extended downtime. We are also working on contingency plans to prevent being offline for that long in the future. Again, big thanks to everyone in the community for your patience."
